Dance on Camera

Dance on Camera

The moving image and the moving body together on the screen. The history of dance on film is actually quite extensive, especially among the experimental communities. And considering dance’s elaborate history with experimentation itself, we found it fitting to devote a night to the various ways the camera has depicted the contortions and undulations of the human figure. Dance of all kinds, used in films in all sorts of ways.
